
Not only are the bulbs edible but you can chop up the tops that are still green and add to soups, stir fries, anywhere you want the flavor and nourishment of garlic. The stalks are a little tougher so better to make broth out of. Of course, weeks before harvesting, cut off any scapes that grow off the stalk in a curling fashion. Doing this will strengthen the bulbs. Scapes are delicious in stir fries! Nothing goes to waste...that makes my Scottish blood very Happy! 🙂
