Here's how you can easily make your own almond milk!
Ingredients:
1 C.Raw Almonds
Water
Vanilla Extract (optional)
Steps:
In a bowl, cover almonds with water and soak over night.
In the morning, rinse and put in blender with 4 cups of water.
Blend at high speed until totally smooth.
Strain through a fine mesh or cheese cloth. You may add vanilla extract for flavor.
Store in fridge in glass bottle for 4-5 days. Separation occurs so shake well before drinking!
Final Note
Almond milk is delicious as a base to fruit shakes. It can also be added to cereals and is a great non-dairy substitute in many recipes.
Use the pulp for many recipes as you would for almond flour.
